Our Services

G-Tube Care

Careful gastrostomy care that prevents the small problems from becoming big ones.

A HomeCare Roots pediatric nurse providing g-tube care in a family home.
Covered at no out-of-pocket cost for qualifying Georgia families

What it is

Gastrostomy site care, dressing changes, granulation management and family training you can actually use.

Most G-tube complications families face are preventable: irritated skin, granulation tissue, leakage, a tube that migrates. Every one of them starts small and quiet. Consistent, skilled daily attention is what stops them.

We also teach. Our aim is that you feel completely confident handling the routine care yourself — because your child’s life should not pause when a nurse is between shifts.

Who this is for: Children with a gastrostomy tube, button or low-profile device, whether newly placed or long established.

  • Dressing changes and skin protection
  • Granulation tissue identification and management
